Worth paying the extra couple of dollars! All facilities were available. My only issue was the wifi was not existent and the spa bath didn't seem to work. But it was beautiful and comfortable

Stayed one night pre and one night post a Heron Island holiday, which is forced due to flight and ferry times. The staff are lovely, but the hotel is very dated. They’ve tried to update the bathrooms with a refresh, but the rooms are very dated. Carpets are worn and stained. Window locks are broken. Our first room had 6 broken/not working issues, which I advised on a note on departure and requested a different room for our return in 5 days. To their credit, they upgraded us to a suite for the second stay, but it was only marginally better. I think it’s an appropriate FIFO apartment hotel, but not a tourist or business hotel.

Clean, Spacious and full of surprises - Perfect st

The receptionist who greeted us was absolutely lovely, setting a warm and welcoming tone for our stay. The room itself exceeded expectations, especially for the price. It was surprisingly spacious for a studio apartment, spotlessly clean & tidy, with fantastic views over the harbour and a central location within walking distance of restaurants, bars, cafes, and shopping. We were also delighted to find a washing machine and dryer—an unexpected bonus. Being a week into a longer holiday up and down the Queensland Coast, it was great to be able to refresh our luggage. The only very minor downside was the lack of glassware, with just one wine glass and no champagne glasses. As our stopover happened to be on New Year’s Eve, my partner ended up drinking our lovely bottle of champagne out of a cup. But hey, it still tasted great, and it made for a funny memory—especially since the rest of the kitchenette was so well-stocked with cookware that you could practically host a dinner party… if only there had been a stovetop or oven! All in all, we found the whole experience amusing and had a fantastic stay. This will definitely be our new go-to road trip stopover!
