"We were expecting more of a farm experience but we just got a little lodge on the farm. There wasn't really anyone around or anyone to contact about any potential farm activities. It was a nice stay but if you're looking for any type of farm activity, you might want to stay somewhere else."

"My wife Sheri and I, traveled on vacation together in Sept. from Miami, FL. to Iceland to take a break away from the heat and humidity in Miami to explore Iceland country during Autumn/Winter season. We enjoyed our short stay at the Hellisholar Cottages. My wife really enjoyed the cold weather. We got Free parking included in our stay, Free wifi, hot and cold water, clean room, in a very quiet and peaceful area too. "

I wish they put at least one or two local tv channel as I want to know what shows Icelandic people watch. They are mostly mostly american channel. If I want to watch them, I just stay at home. "
"Anna and Siggi’s place was absolutely lovely! Anna was very helpful and had fresh bread in the check in area when we arrived. Our little suite was perfect for my husband, daughter and I. The beds were comfortable and the shower was great. My daughter loved the dogs and being so close to the ponies. We definitely recommend the Garage if you’re traveling to southern Iceland and want a cozy place to stay with an beautiful view of the water and mountains!"
"Stayed in room 102. The hotel is a beautiful log cabin design with a lot of neat touches such as the carved bears in the staircases. The room is a nice size with a mini fridge that is only big enough for a couple drinks. Bed was comfortable. The breakfast was great. A large variety of sweets, cereal, fresh bread and even eggs and bacon. Had no issues getting the code or opening the lockbox that held the key. Recommended. Close to Skogafoss and the amazing hike to Kvernufoss."
