Lovely staff. I will stay again

Staff are great. Very welcoming and efficient. Food is great too. Shame the bar and the terrace cannot open at the same time.

A pity there’s no minibar in the room Also, the vending machines should be updated to accept card payments in light of the above.

Pas terrible

Nous avons choisi cette hôtel ayant été satisfaits de cette chaîne sur Rotterdam mais celui-ci etait bien plus "vieillot" et pas de climatisation et sentait fort le parfum. L'insonorisation est pas terrible, on sest faits reveiller vers 2h du matin par une personne dont on avait l'impression qu'elle voulait entrer dans notre chambre alors que c'était la chambre da côté. Cet hôtel accepte les animaux avec supplément et sous conditions de vous placer dans la partie vielle de l'hôtel. S'ajoute à ceci dans la chambre une liste de toutes les conditions à respecter sous réserve de se faire exclure de votre chambre. Donc animal pas très très friendly. Hotel plus cher que celui de Rotterdam mais avec des prestations moins bonnes. Trop cher pour l'environnement et la qualité de sommeil et plein de travaux dans la zone (d'activités).

Not business trip friendly

The hotel advertised as a business friendly hotel. However due to flight I arrived at hotel at 11pm, and absolutely no facility to get food or drink. All restaurants and bars closed. The check in staff refused to even sell me one beer (after a long journey!) they said “I can get you a delivery from outside only everything is closed here” made no sense to me, if your checking in late, it would be at least nice to get a sandwich and a drink at the least. I even had to pay for the room at check in. Which took around 20mins as the computer was not working either… room was comfortable and breakfast was good however. Unfortunately though, it really should not advertise as business friendly, when it isn’t. Arriving late at a hotel for a visit to a morning client is the norm. And having facility for food and drink in a hotel is a must! Even at 11pm!

As usual with Van der Valk, good value for money. Spacious room with balcony, easy free parking and just a 5 minute drive to city centre. Easy and professional check in.

Gedateerd en muffig met name door de entree met ronmelige sfeer van vitrinekasten, lampen ed en de oude gangen met bakstenen muren. Leek echt een bejaarden te huis. Gemiddelde leeftijd was ook hoog wat misschien gevoel versterkte.

Glad to go home.

The food was so so, the coffee was not warm after diner. They couldn't decide if we had to pay afterwards or immediately. It was very noisy in the evening with trolleys at the corridor. This was by far the worst stay at van der Valk ever for us.

80's hotel maar schoon

De ontvangst en check in was prettig en ik voelde mij welkom. Duurde wel wat lang aangezien de receptie ook word gebruikt als diner afhaalbalie. Het hotel is redelijk gedateerd. De kamers ook. Het bed was comfortabel en alles was wel schoon. Das is het belangrijkste. De eerste kamer die ik had was ontzettend heet en er is geen temperatuurs regeling in de kamer. na een uur de balkondeur open te hebben gehad (buiten was het 5 graden) was de kamer nog niet afgekoeld en heb dit gemeld bij receptie. Ik kreeg direct een andere kamer, dus prima opgelost. Ik vermoed dat de vloerverwarming wat aan de hoge kant staat in sommige kamers. Ze hebben een uitgebreide afhaalkaart en dat is positief! Er zou groente bij het hoofdgerecht komen en dat is bijna altijd bij vd Valk goed gevarieerd. Nu was het een bord vol met spruitjes. Je houdt van spruitjes of je haat ze. Geen succes. Het ontbijt was goed geregeld. Je kon kiezen tussen een kant en klare afhaalbox of beperkt buffet.
