I was very happy to find the Lone Eagle Lodge as a place to stay after traveling all day. The receptionist was very helpful and the room we stayed in looked new. An added benefit was the late night restaurant where we were able to get a meal.
The rooms are clean with plenty of space. Our friends had a nicely renovated room while ours was seriously dated. There was no AC, so it got pretty warm in the room. It's great location - walking distance to restaurants, shops, the theatre and the lake. The staff were helpful and friendly. Our entry code didn't work and it was sorted out quickly.
Overall it's comfortable and quiet place to stay when in Grand Lake.
The room was clean but it’s bare bones. You will likely never talk to an employee - they’ll just email you a code to the door. Location is great. Good amount of parking. WiFi is terrible though.
Amazing and cozy cabin feel and beautiful views. Staff were helpful and friendly. Definitely stay there again with my spouse 10/10!!!

Liked: Cleanliness
Not enough outlets, needs USB plugs. Tissues were like half a ply (Amazon tissues and toilet paper…really?). Shampoo, conditioner, and soap were all in unmarked bottles, so I may have washed my hair with the soap. Old place, needs some updating, but check-in worked fine despite no live human. Ice available. Clean, easy, very nice location.
Great location and great price. Motel was being repaired in several places. Definitely dated rooms. Comfy bed and quiet. They need to update their sign in the room with the Wi-Fi password. The information I got with the password to get in the room didn't work so I had to call. No one in the lobby so we had to call to get in there to get ice. Not much of a Lobby otherwise known as community room.
Shower was very narrow, staff was friendly. Bed was memory foam. We got a 15% discount at the taco stand (but they didnt know about the discount until they asked the lodge manager). I was also sent a message from the property before our arrival that gave us our room code but it ended up not working. Great access to lake and surrounding shops. Across the street from a grocery store and laundromat.

Disliked: Staff & service, amenities
WiFi signal was weak and did not work in room. Unable to use TV/phones due to lack of WiFi. It states on hotel info, all rooms come with a fan, our room did not have a fan and was very warm. Tried to open the window but it would not stay open and kept shutting. Unable to reach hotel staff when needed. Front office/staff not available outside very small window of office hours. Parking was easy and it is located in a good area of the town. Photos on here are also outdated and don’t represent an accurate stay. We ended up ending our stay early due to expectations being not meet and false advertising of accommodations. Tried to communicate that with hotel staff but got no response. Would recommend looking at other options in the area first!
Parking and check in was really easy, the view was amazing, the bed was comfortable, and there was an awesome taco truck in the parking lot (i highly recommend the quesabirria tacos and the birria ramen!). The room was clean. Overall, everything was perfect!
