Loving the lake

I stayed here with a friend for Le Grand du Nord. The location is awesome, just outside Grand Marais, and our room opened up onto a patio with views of the lake. We were up early one morning, so took one of the canoes for a spin - gorgeous views! Was also great to relax by the fireplace in a cozy chair on the lounge, reading with a view of the lake. The management was friendly and check-in/check-out was informal, but efficient (there's not really a front desk or office). WiFi was reasonably fast and reliable. I would stay here again!

Beautiful lodge with spacious rooms that had a outdoors feel. Activity room downstairs kept my kids entertained. Fire pit was an evening highlight. Only downside were the plentiful bugs and mosquitoes at night.

We were very pleased with this lodge. Located a little ways out of town was nice for the peacefulness away from crowds. Lodge had a nice fire ring and kayaks/canoes for use. Kids loved the playset. Room was well kept and bathroom was decent. Definitely will return if we head back to the area!

We loved this property it is beautiful and clean.... There is a beautiful tv on the wall... and only DVD’s 😞 No tv or cable. Most people won’t mind-we just like TV. It is beautiful and comfortable

We enjoyed the stay. Close enough to town and quiet. Tried to watch tv down in recreation room but the music in bar was disturbing. Our GPS brought us on dirt roads. Could use better notification re: driving on paved roads.

Very nice place to stay. Very clean. Nice ground and woods around. Tables and chairs to sit outside. Also has fire pit . Have lots of rental equipment. Canoes, kayaks, fishing boats and a nice pontoon and paddle boards. Only thing we didn’t like was bed was to soft. Great restaurant attached. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Would definitely stay there again.

The owners of this property were very friendly and very welling to meet our needs. Very very clean and cozy and the dinning room had a very warm feeling and good food. Beautiful lake and playground for kids.

I really liked the beds, kitchenette, comfy room looking out over the Lake. We had problems with our key and no one was at the desk, so we jiggled it until we finally got in. The coffee was excellent!

Very pretty location on the lake. The room was very nice and amenities fine except that nobody checked our room for supplies on the second day...we had to take toilet tissue from the guest washroom...! Our sleep was badly disturbed by commotion in the room above. We were never on site when the office was open and saw nobody during our stay. The girl in the Grill at check in was very courteous.
