"We had an excellent family stay, we've stayed at several hotels in the downtown Toronto and RIU Plaza has been our best experience so far. The staff are amazing, very friendly and accommodating. Calls for maintenance (blocked shower drain) and extra pillows etc were answered and remedied in minutes. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options, dinning staff were very attentive, efficient and friendly. There was always a smile greeting you at the door or sending you on your way. Check in and out were a breeze. Rooms were very clean, beds comfortable, had a surpise view of the CN tower which you were able to see laying in bed. I will be staying here again."

"Parking was $62 per day. Hotel smelled like marijuana and there were people just outside the doors smoking. Made for a very unpleasant stay. "

"we were not happy with the internet wifi service , was very bad and cut in and out, and the Tv service in the room was awful, no good channels that would stay on or woud not come on due to weak signal. "

"The hotel is undoubtedly high-end, but the staff is terrible. They hide many details only to charge you for them at the end. It doesn’t matter if you pay in advance—upon arrival, they will try to recalculate everything. When we arrived, one of the two rooms wasn’t ready, so we had to wait nearly 45 minutes. Even then, they relocated us, placing our rooms apart with another room in between, despite having booked them together to keep our family close. For comfort and the view, I would recommend it—but when it comes to the staff and how they treat guests, it’s honestly a nightmare. Also, no matter how much you adjust the thermostat, the heating is set very high. It was so hot at night that we had to open the balcony. There are far better options throughout Niagara. Not everything that glitters is gold—appearances can be deceiving."
