"Beautiful property in lovely grounds. It was a very last minute break, and we just opted for a Classic Room, but it was spacious with an excellent bathroom and a beautiful view of the gardens. The staff were friendly, helpful and efficient throughout. We wouldnt hesitate to recommend the hotel and are already looking forward to a return stay."

"This is our go-to hotel while visiting family in the area and once again, we weren't disappointed. Staff are friendly and helpful. The air-conditioned rooms had everything we needed. Breakfast had a great selection...I don't think I've ever seen hotel staff test the buffet's food temperature before! Wow! I was impressed. They obviously take food safety very seriously. Usually we worry about parking because there is a very small car park at the side of the building, but this time we were thrilled...

"Breakfast Complaint I would like to make a formal complaint regarding the breakfast service on the first day of my stay. Despite paying approximately £400 for breakfast, the experience was extremely disappointing. Due to poor organisation and a lack of available tables, we had to wait a considerable amount of time before being seated. By the time we were able to access the breakfast buffet, there was very little food remaining. The overall service fell well below the standard I would expect,...

"Pro: Close to city center. Con: Parking was a nightmare… nothing available at the hotel; sent to public parking where the instructions for overnight were cryptic… ended up with a £25 fine."

"The Staff were very helpful including finding us a new room when the first was too noisy (David). Including a complimentary breakfast to make up for our inconvenience. Sadly the hotel has become dated needing refurbishment of bathrooms, plumbing and general modernisation within its historic and lovely interior. Very sad to hear of all the Staff being made redundant."

"The Staff were so friendly and helpful Rooms clean and comfortable. Even a Dyson fan in the room to stay cool Pool a bit busy for me but it was nice to see children enjoying it I chose the wrong time to use it As a single female traveller felt welcome and secure Definitely visit again"
