My stay was almost excellent. A lovely, clean room with good facilities and a comfy bed. The staff were mostly great - especially in Branfords where the female staff in particular were hardworking, super-friendly and cheerful and in the gym/spa where they were all pleasant and helpful. I had a lovely massage by Teira (?) and enjoyed the warm pool and jacuzzi. The breakfasts were excellent too. The maids worked hard also and were very sweet. Low spots were for me, as a woman staying alone for four nights, no internal door lock, chain or peephole. When I asked about the lock/chain I was told it was for security/emergency issues but this didn't reassure me, especially as the hotel isn't manned overnight. Also, the heated towel rail in the bathroom was broken and when I asked about this I was told, "Yeah, they're all broken.' So to keep the bathroom warm I had to prop the door open. Sorting these things for me would have made this stay really fabulous.

Booked to stay at this hotel for our 10th wedding anniversary so paod a little extra to upgrade to the superior room. It was definitely worth it. The room was beautiful, lovely and clean, and very comfortable. The staff were very friendly and always helpful. We booked in at the spa and the ladies were so friendly and our massages were very relaxing. The pool was lovely and clean. The food was delicious and the staff in the bar and restaurant were very friendly and welcoming. There are some local shops and pubs right on the door step which were very convenient. We had a lovely stay and I would highly recommend Old Hall Hotel.

Great stay , highly recommend

From the moment you walk through the door you are greeted with friendly helpful staff . Enjoyed every aspect , room really comfy , food , top quality ( probably one of the tastiest breakfast i have had ) . The added bonus of being able to use facilities if you are staying . cant wait to stay again .

Overall we were very happy with our stay at the Old Hall, it was warm clean and comfortable. The restaurant was lovely the food was great value for money. Breakfast was lovely, especially the avo on toast. the staff were welcoming and friendly through out the facilities.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The pool and sauna were also really nice after a day out in the cold, seeing the seals and exploring. Food good in the attached restaurant and the breakfast selection was excellent. The hotel is generally in good condition, but our room looked a little tired in places and our first morning no hot water (all ok second night). The bed was great, big & comfy, room was quiet despite facing the road. We'd be happy to stay again if we were in the area.

The weekend was a Christmas present for my daughter. The facilities in the Spa and treatments available are great and all the staff were lovely, throughout the hotel and restaurant. The restaurant is quite expensive but the food is excellent. I would thoroughly recommend it all.
