The hotel was made to mimic old Guangzhou! The decorations are beautiful. Multiple photo ops! The alley leading up to the hotel makes you feel like you are entering a time machine. Rooms are spacious, clean and cute! Love the protectors and little stool in the rooms, great for take out and movie night. Many options available for breakfast- both western and Chinese food. Our personal favourites were the wontons and scallion pancakes! The 9th floor had a cute little cafe area where they also offered free drinks. Then on the 10th floor, it was the roof top with cute twinkle lights and the views of the city. Best part of the hotel was th location! As soon as you walk out, it is a large pedestrian street. To the left, was a square with lots of big Chinese bbt chains and to the right, approx 10 mins was the moon bridge and yongqing fan! At night, there were tons of food stalls with great food options!

Located right on shopping strip. Convenient to shopping and other attractions. Staff were very friendly and ready to serve. 24 hours laundry free service. Good breakfast and free tea/coffee during the day. One note that the location is not accessible via car due to located right on shopping strip. A few steps from main road. Recommend hotel’s phone number to call ahead. We stayed for 4 nights. Great hotel.

The room is very clean. The bed sheets and pillowcases are all pure white, making it very reassuring. The bathroom has high water pressure, and taking a shower is very comfortable. After a day of playing, taking a hot bath at home eliminates all the fatigue. The air conditioner also cools down quickly, and you can feel cool as soon as you enter the room.

The most satisfying part was the self-service laundry room on the second floor. When I was in Guangzhou in summer and sweated profusely, I would wash my clothes right away, dry them, and then wear them the next day. I didn't even need to bring too many clothes with me in the suitcase. Right next to it was the gym. While waiting for my clothes, I could go for a run, and it didn't waste any time.

The front desk staff and the housekeeping ladies are very nice and helpful. The location is perfect, in the pedestrian zone, The building and rooms are remodeled and well maintained. The toiled and bath are not separated which is typical in the residential building in the area, but not common with hotels. The breakfast is very basic.

I am a frequent international traveler. But this inn is probably the worst among accommodations that I stayed in the past 2 decades. First of all, the location was BAD. Trash on the street with random topless old guys chilling and sitting on the block, they didn’t look like homeless but local neighbors who lived in the area. My kid saw a big rat falling off one of the building roofs while we haul or luggages from the Didi dropoff point to the hotel. There were many restaurants and shops on the pedestrian only street (Shangxiajiu) but they were the budget kind. I know Starglazing tried to go for a retro style, advertising for 西關風情. But to me it was not retro it was simply old. I stayed at Manxin in Beijing before, which transformed the traditional courtyard homes (四合院）into a decent boutique hotel, keeping the traditional architecture and vibe. Stargazing is NOT that. There were molds, dirts, rust everywhere in the room. The “beds” were only mattresses that sit directly on the floor, no bed frames. The bathroom is a wet bath meaning there is no curtain between the shower and toilet. So when one person showers, the entire bathroom gets wet, the toilet, the floor, everything gets wet. If you aren’t careful, the toilet paper and your clothes may get wet as well. The only reason you should consider staying at this inn is the price, which is very affordable and it’s close to popular tourist spots like 永慶坊。

Very convenient location, downstairs is the pedestrian street with lots of food and shops. Close to massage place, we always go massage during trips. Facilities include laundromat and gym room, didn't use. Everyday provide two free drinks on 9F, very nice, rooftop can sit out and chill. Our booking includes free breakfast, enough variety, mostly Asian food. Friendly staff, helpful, quick response. Toilet seat loosened, came and fix quickly. Also borrowed a fan because our room has a bed on the loft, quite stuffy there in which the ac cannot really reach. Modern decor, nicely renovated, bathroom clean, wet room design. Projector TV with games consoles, didn't use. Only used the TV app to watch films. Overall, good price for the good location and quality.

Just checked out after a two-night stay, and I’m pretty happy overall.The hotel is right on Pedestrian Street. Step right downstairs and you’re in the tourist area. The location is unbeatable. The room isn’t huge, but the layout is sensible and it has everything you need—super comfortable to stay in.Cleanliness was good: the bed linens were clean, and the AC and hot water worked perfectly.The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, answering all my questions. If you’re visiting this area and want something convenient, this place is definitely worth considering.

The 10th floor offers a wide view. In the evening when there are sunset colors, it is particularly beautiful. Just take a casual photo with your phone and it will be great. The hotel is located in Shangxianji. Once you leave the hotel, you can find plenty of dining options. It's just a walk away to Sandai Island. The laundry equipment is quite new. It's convenient to separate washing and drying. The viewing platform on the 10th floor has a wonderful view. Just as the sunset was setting, I took several photos and posted them on WeChat Moments, but everyone was asking where it was. There are many local老字号 around， and the menu changes every day from morning till night. The room facilities are new. In the tea room at night， I made a cup of tea and enjoyed the night view， reliving the whole day's meals. It was very pleasant.

The self-service laundry in the hotel is really very convenient. After several days of traveling, finally I can do some laundry. The viewing platform on the 10th floor has a great view. When I came back in the evening, I happened to catch the sunset, and I took several photos which were all very beautiful. The location is in Shangxianji. It's very close to Yongqingfang and Shafa for dining. Just a few steps away is a famous old restaurant.

In Shangxiajiu area, you can find everything you need right outside. The decoration style suits my taste; it has a bit of the old Guangzhou feel. The location is fantastic. When you're tired from shopping, you can just go back to the hotel and rest. The waiters all greet you with smiles and explain things in detail when you ask for directions. The corridor is beautifully decorated, and many people are taking photos there.

The room was dirty and small. I didn’t mind the small room but the filth was horrifying. Walls were stained and the bathroom was filled with mold. Faucet with giant paint chips. I couldn’t help to be grossed out by a dried booger below the wall of the vanity mirror. This is definitely not a 4 stars accommodation. The comforters were disgusting yellow and dirty. I was glad the shop downstairs sold disposable bedsheets. There were roaches in the dining area when we had our breakfast on the first day. The staff were nice and accommodating. I can’t believe Expedia allow this place to be categorized as 4 stars hotel. Do better Expedia. All the good reviews are fake and were exchange with free vpn.
