It’s a small little park they have free samba classes if anyone is interested in that at night. There is also a fair ground that opens at night nearby.

Lots of people on the street wanting to help you park for a fee, of course. But there is free parking at curbside on the street. If you go to the sand on the beach there are tons of small restaurants where you can sit and watch the people. You can pretty much sit there for as long as you like at a table at any of the restaurants and just buy a Coke or a drink. Lots of walk-up vendors that will try to get you to buy anything from Dominican candy to a massage and everything in between. But just smile and say no and they walk away. Very entertaining and relaxing and a good place to people-watch.

Very dirty and not recommended for swimming

You can't swim here. There is garbage covering the entire beach and so many large rocks under the water and waves so swimming is very dangerous. Don't go for a beach day but the "boardwalk" surrounding it was beautiful. Just be wary of 'helpful locals' that seem like they're doing you a favor but then try to take you to stores to buy them food for their 'new baby' but instead actually bought licor.

Stick your feet in the ocean. Enjoy the view. Don't think of swimming 
