“We were extremely happy with our 3 nights stay at Gabaa. Staff were superb. All the cabins were hidden amongst the nature, making it must more relaxing and enjoyable. Property was very quiet and had plenty of privacy. Hiruni and Eranda and also everyone else were always available and made our stay memorable. My kids didn’t want to leave the property. Rooms very spacious and AC was worked perfectly. We got some tea and food and they were authentic.”

“It was a strange vibe. The staff were all so lovely, but the person in charge at reception felt like she made everyone bothered. Reception was always chaotic. Even trying to pay our bill was a major carryon with about 3 or 4 people involved. Dining staff were wonderful, dinner was not, though breakfast buffet was very good. Room was tiny and dark, bed very comfy. Bathroom felt bigger than room! Pool was ok, very shallow & not at all like the photos vibe. and pool area terrace etc was...

“Big spacious room however it was very dark and damp smelling which I think is the location in the forest. The property is a little bit out of town which means you are stuck at the hotel for your meals unless you get a tuk tuk to and from town. It was a beautiful property with a lovely breakfast but I found the staff in the reception not overly friendly or helpful and a little out of the way for the main attractions. ”

“Location is good. Lots of ants and insects in the room. Host was welcoming. But be aware of food cost. Ask price before ordering. We order seafood dinner for three. He made combination of fish, calamari, tiny crabs and few shrimp and charged 50 dollars(water for drink). We paid as we did not ask before eating. Then he came back and ask 800 rupees for driver’s break fast. We paid. A minute later he came for driver’s accommodation cost. At that point we said, NO. We stayed 2 weeks in Sri Lanka....

“Nett gelegen an einem See ca. 1km vom Ortskern von Habarana. Schöner Pool, großes Zimmer mit riesigen Bett und großem Bad. Klimaanlage hat gut funktioniert. Vom Wellness Programm habe ich nichts in Anspruch genommen, von hier aus habe ich aber die umliegenden Highlights Sigiriya, Dambulla und Polonnaruwa besichtigt. Bucht vor Ort mit dem Guide vom Hotel eine Safari in einem der nahen Nationalparks. Der Mann ist ein echter Elefanten Flüsterer und kennt sich super aus. Das war großartig. Allgemein...
