Gora Kadan

4.5 star property
9.6 out of 10, Exceptional, (406)
"Incredible - our best accommodations in Japan. Facilities are beautiful (rooms,
pool
, grounds), service is over the top (they will drive you to all the local places and pick you up from the train), in room dining was amazing, and private in-room hot spring baths was wonderful. The area has so much to offer - one night didn't feel like enough. A peaceful escape from Tokyo."

Hakone Kowakien

4.0 star property
9.0 out of 10, Wonderful, (155)
"A wonderful 5 star hotel. The lobby area is spacious and the check-in process is organized using kiosks with someone from the hotel to guide. The private Onsen on the 7th floor can be booked using their App which was explained during the check-in process. The buffet was good and had a lot of variety that caters to westerners and locals. Take advantage of the waterpark / Onsen across the street which is offered for guests staying at the hotel. The wristband for the waterpark is given to guests in...

nol hakone myojindai

4.0 star property
8.8 out of 10, Excellent, (26)
"The hotel is beautiful nestled up in the mountains. The grounds are beautiful but unfortunately we did not get to explore much due to the rain. The staff were helpful especially after we left behind one of our luggages and they were able send it to our next destination. It’s quiet and a wonderful place to relax. The onsen and warm
pool
were clean and well maintained. I cannot comment on the restaurant for dinner as we never tried it. Overall a wonderful stay. "

Hakonenomori Okada

3.0 star property
8.2 out of 10, Very Good, (291)
"I loved my time here. I stayed in a traditional Japanese style room which was a great experience. The view from my room was amazing! The staff were friendly and helpful and my room was clean. There’s a shuttle bus that goes from the hotel to Hakone-Yumoto station but I didn’t use it so can’t comment but that is helpful as 3/4 of the walk to the hotel is fine and easy but the last 1/4 of the way is a pretty steep incline. I was only carrying a backpack so it wasn’t bad. The highlight though was...

3.5 star property
7.4 out of 10, Good, (348)
"The room was really spacious and provided us the option of having western and Japanese style room and we really liked it. We didn’t use the facilities because of lack of time but the hotel has
pool
and public baths. Location wise the hotel is a 10min walking from the bus stop (Hakone free pass) or 4 mins walking from the other bus line in Hakone. There aren’t many restaurants around so plan ahead as the only ones around closed around 8pm."
