"Arrived just before 2pm (3pm check in) and the door was locked. Tried the buzzer, but no answer. Also tried the number on the booking and outside- no answer. I then had to wait more than 30 minutes in the car park until one of the cleaners came out, which allowed me access. There was absolutely nobody in the hotel. "The neighborhood is lovely - quiet, with tree-lined streets and many restored Jugenstil houses - but only two blocks from a streetcar stop with quick connections to the centre of the city. I came to Halle for a special exhibit at the archaeology museum, and was pleased that the Pension was only two tram stops away."
