The creek descends from ca. 1.000 to 700 metres altitude, the waterfall is in ca. 940 metres and it is the most dramatic part of the gorge. It is a cascade of 13 metres and 7 metres jump over a muscovite rock (in the photo) . Muscovite or mica or isinglass was used as a window slide alternative to glass in medieval Russia, hence the name coming from Moscow. There is an old-growth forrest around the gorge with spruce (some are 250 years old), fir and sorbus. There is a nice scenic trail in the gorge.
