"We loved the historical vibe of this hotel with the amazing way the hotel was established from an old feed mill. Everything was very clean and comfortable, especially the bed! The continental breakfast was par for hotel fare except for the amazing pastries brought in fresh everyday from the bakery up the street. Delicious! We would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a relaxing spot after a beautiful bikebtt try ide on the Root River Trail."

"Very comfy beds, clean rooms, good breakfast, nice pool and whirlpool. Only complaint would be shortage of towels...only one hand/ face towel in room and had to ask for pool towels., also lack of an elevator to 2nd floor. The hotel itself is great and service was friendly."

"We had a wonderful stay at Green Gables Inn. The property was extremely clean and well appointed, which is always my top priority when traveling — and it exceeded my expectations. Before check-in, we appreciated being able to access restrooms and filtered water since we biked the Root River Trail earlier in the day. The locked bike storage was a huge plus, providing peace of mind with secure, temperature-controlled space and plenty of outlets for charging e-bikes. Overall, it was a comfortable and thoughtfully designed place to stay, and we would definitely return. A couple of small recommendations that would make the experience even better: Adding a top sheet over the bed blanket for sanitary reasons Switching from individual packets of soap, shampoo, and conditioner to refillable bottles for convenience and sustainability Highly recommend Green Gables Inn for anyone visiting Lanesboro!"

"My experience staying here was truly excellent. At first, I had some hesitation about the absence of on-site customer service for check-in. However, the host provided clear and detailed instructions by email, including the entry code and house guidelines, which made the process seamless and very easy to follow. It was just as efficient as checking into a traditional hotel. Once settled, I found the accommodations to be exceptionally comfortable and thoughtfully maintained. The space felt welcoming, clean, and peaceful. The bed and pillows in particular were outstanding—I cannot recall the last time I slept so well. This level of comfort truly set the stay apart and exceeded my expectations. Overall, I am extremely satisfied with my decision to book here. The combination of convenience, comfort, and professionalism makes it an excellent choice, and I would not hesitate to rebook for future visits."
