This would’ve been a five star rating for sure. Friendliest staff we’ve experienced, but the bathroom was easily the smallest bathroom in a hotel room I have seen in my 20 years of travel throughout Europe. My hope is the other rooms have larger bathroom bathrooms.

Bad shower and bed. Great breakfast
The location is great, right next to the main trans station, however if you have a rental car, you have to pay the hotel parking 10€/day. We decided to walt to city center, a good 30 min walk, i def thought it would be closer. The shower didnt work at all, and i actually got burned.

The drive was a bit complicated due to the traffic and being right at the train station. Carpets needs cleaning and the bathroom were so small I could touch the sink and wall with my hips and I’m not that big .

Hotel next to the train station. Walkable to the Christmas Markets and tourist area. Breakfast was basic. I requested ahead gluten & lactose options for my breakfast and they “only” offered GF bread. The room is very small & the bathroom tiny. The beds & pillows are hard as a rock. We were able to leave our luggage at the hotel before the check in. The A/C wasn’t cool enough.

Unexpected great hotel beside the train station
Much better than I had expected. Location beside the train station was excellent. Staff were friendly. Checkin was efficient. The buffet breakfast was great value and offered a wide choice of food. The bed and pillow was comfortable. Hard to find a fault actually! Well done Ibis!

Right next to the train station and the bus stop to take me to the old part of town. Super convenient, clean and A/C. The only negative is the size of the room and bathroom. It was just me so no problem, but for 2 it would have been a tight squeeze. I would stay again.

Very close to the train station and bus and street cars. You can get anywhere you need to go rather quickly from here. The rooms are very small but comfortable. Breakfast is awesome.

Short 2-night stay at Heidelberg
It met my expectations of a basic budget hotel - clean room, minimal unnecessary waste in toiletries, and a comfortable bed. The receptionists were friendly and welcoming. The only downside is that the room (431) is practically next to the rail tracks, and it did suffer from noise (despite what the other reviewers say) even with the window shut. The walls are quite thin, so I could also hear people speaking in the corridors and doors banging, which were irritating. The location is perfect - within walking distance of the Hauptstrasse. Heidelberg is a city for walkers.

Comfy bed in good location
Pleasant stay in a central location. Very comfy bed and impressed with the noise cancelling windows. Did not hear much of the traffic at all. Very small bathroom and shower and heater was boiling hot - too hot. Otherwise not too bad
