"We are a big family and were welcomed with open arms. Hotel Balsthal is a charming, modern hotel with a rustic feel to it. We enjoyed our stay very much and will definitely be back. "It was absolutely fantastic. An old Villa transformed in a boutique hotel with great personality. It is like to be at home but even better! Many languages are spoken there! Rooms are gigantic and furniture is practical yet with a neat design, although the rooms look very romantic. The cosy lounge at the first floor with the balcony and the garden outside complete the picture...."

"The staff, particularly Natalia, were incredibly helpful. Breakfast was wonderful with plenty of selection. Very close to Old Town although it was 58 steps down. Remember you must come back up! We opted out of room cleaning for our short stay and we were rewarded with refreshments. Excellent idea. Would definitely recommend."
