The Old House is a well-preserved half-timbered Jacobean building in the centre of Hereford. It was built in 1621 as part of Butchers' Row. In 1816, other buildings on the row started to be demolished. It has been used by butchers, ironmongers, and bankers during its existence. Old House is now the only remaining house in the original row, surrounded by more modern buildings.

"A peaceful countryside Welsh gem with pool, gym and spa included. Second stay here, there is a choice of modern or heritage rooms. We love everything here, grounds, rooms, breakfast but hugely rate the staff. Some people love modern, but the heritage rooms are spacious and quite special, full of character and have a good sized bathroom, ours even had a dressing room. The establishment is undergoing renovations under the new management but this is not in view of guests. "
