There are photos on our website of our property. Stairs could be a problem for people with mobility issues.

The coffee pods are now 50c a pod to cover the premium cost of this coffee. Your coffee and tea in your bedrooms is free and included in the rate. Thank you for your review. The room you slept in is our smallest room, and very compact. Our other three rooms are all larger and our best suite even has a spa bath and outside balcony. Hopefully next time you will have a large room!

Thank you for your review. I am sorry that the room was very compact as described on the website but it is priced accordingly. Our website does mention that stairs are involved and that it is not suitable for people who cannot walk up a flight of external stairs. I am not sure which site you looked at but I would appreciate if you could let me know and I will make amendments as required. You are correct that Torquay Terrace Bed & Breakfast is not suitable for people with a mobility problem.

Thank you for pointing out that this is our smallest room and if I notice that it has been booked by an international traveller and I have a larger room available I will always contact them and advise that it really is more suitable to people with a small amount of luggage and suggest they move to a larger room. Many international guest still choose to stay in Scarborough as they are usually only sleeping there and out and about at Fraser, Lady Elliot, Whale Watching etc. but thank you for taking the time to make the comment. I am so sorry you could not make your name known. I have NEVER has a guest feel unwelcome and in fact if you were to take the time to read my reviews on not only Expedia but other booking channels you will note our customer service is 10/10. I adore my guests and have never had a bad incident. The only person I can think you maybe is the couple who arrived at 12.30pm without advising me and I was unprepared for you and lying in my swimming pool and quite upset that I was dripping water and not appropriately attired to meet you after throwing a dress on over my swimmers. If this made you feel unwelcome I apologise but maybe in the future when check in is 4-6 you might take the courtesy of advise the property owner of your required check in. You room fortunately was ready for you and I checked you in immediately. Also I cannot for the life of me think what a poor selection of breakfast is and again I have been complimented on our breakfast. Eggs, muesli, cereal, fruit, yoghurt, white and wholemeal bread, fruit juice and fresh milk. All quality products. I cannot apologise for this and hope the remainder of your stay in Australia was more pleasant than you obviously found your stay at my property and I am sad about your comments as they are so out of character to what we provide. I cannot disagree with you. BUT we do note on all sites that all rooms are only accessibly by stairs. We also do state we are not "disability friendly" and I did really feel for you when you were negotiating the stairs albeit you would not be classified as disabled but you certainly had a difficulty negotiating those stairs. Thank you Alan, yes your room was fine for overnight but we do have much larger rooms with large bathrooms, baths and spa baths. All of these show clearly on our site, but this is good advice for people travelling for longer than an overnight and particularly those travelling from overseas with a lot of baggage. It was a pleasure having you stay and hope your trip was a success.

I think you must have the wrong property, we are pet friendly and I have NEVER rejected pets. I am not concerned at which company you use for your bookings but I welcome pets, and I do recall I did have guests here with a pet on 6th January.

Thank you for your comments as they are important to other guests making decisions about their accommodation.. As you are anonymous I can only believe you were in the Scarborough room which is the smallest of all rooms and I agree with you it can be a bit cramped with two suitcases and personal luggage. I do recommend that this room is for either single travellers or those without a lot of luggage. We provide options for all rooms so guests can choose the room most suited to their requirements and price range. I would welcome you, your family, friends and colleagues to Torquay Terrace.
