"The location is great and very convenient, but unfortunately that’s the only positive. The host never responded to any messages, making communication extremely difficult. The property photos — many items shown are old, broken, or completely unusable. There was no outdoor lighting, and the glasses were dusty and poorly maintained. Wouldn’t recommend staying here unless the location is your only priority."

"While this stay lacks in the polished stays of a fancy resort it makes up ten-fold in charm and personality. This was the coziest most wonderful stay we've had on our trip yet and we'll definitely be back. Located a mere 4 minute walk from the train station and a 1 minute from the beach this was the low key break we needed. The stay was clean with great amenities. "Beautiful location with stunning ocean views. The property was perfect for us. Loved the breakfast. The dinner options at the property left much to be to desired."

"The staff were very friendly, welcoming and helpful, however they did want to upsell everyone on a bigger room. They tried with us and others I heard at check in. We were there second weekend of June, which is "off-season". This meant that the pool and 2 of the restaurants were closed. Only one restaurant and the onsens were available. This is a bummer because we booked it for the hotel because of the kids/teens. We went back and read the fine print on hotels.com and it does say it's closed. Just wish we would have seen that. They offered games to borrow so that helped to keep the kids busy. The area was also very quiet so it was hard to find a place to eat. The hotel is beautiful, very clean, but just a little outdated. The breakfast buffet included a large variety of Japanese and Western style breakfast. Everything was delicious! The onsen was a nice retreat after the day. Being next to the beach and tidepools was a plus. We did the nearby seven falls hike and that was definitely worth it. Very close to 2 different train stations and a free shuttle to the main one made travel easy."

Our family stayed for two nights, and from start to finish everything felt thoughtful, comfortable, and welcoming. The rooms were super clean, which immediately made us feel relaxed and at ease. Our favorite part was the in-room onsen—it was simply amazing. It felt like a private retreat, and we all enjoyed soaking and unwinding together. Also, there are so many things to do if you decide to drive around the area. It made our trip even more fun and convenient, and we loved exploring at our own pace. Overall, our stay exceeded expectations, and we’d happily return. Thank you to the team at SOKI ATAMI for helping make our first Atami trip so special!"
