"There was a golden wedding lunch party on the Saturday I stayed and one couple brought their dog which constantly yapped all afternoon when they left it outside in the garden. It did not make for a very relaxing afternoon reading on the terrace."

"Breakfast is advertised as being available from 7. As we had a plane to catch we were keen to get it early. But hot food was not out until 7.15, fruit juice not until 7.20 and there was initially no bread to toast (just crumpets and muffins) and no butter. If breakfast is advertised from 7, everything should be available from 7, not 20 minutes later. very poor effort."

"The location was very peaceful but close to many beautiful places National Trust etc. The bedroom was comfortably furnished with an excellent walk in shower. The lounge / dining area also was very comfortable with a lovely outlook. The breakfast was excellent with plenty of choice. The host was friendly and informative. A really excellent place to stay."

"The hotel is lovely but if youre planning on staying through summer, there is no air conditioning and our room was unbearably hot. They did provide a table fan but it didn't do much to cool the room."
