“The receptionist recognized that we were senior citizens and gave us a room very close to the office and parking lot. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous size of the bedroom and enjoyed the separate area for the closet and dressing. The shower was wonderful. We enjoyed a pleasant evening sitting on the large outdoor area.
We were disappointed that we couldn't access YouTube and Netflix.”
“The breakfasts were fantastic! The added use of the upstairs porch added to our stay. The porch was a great place to enjoy the cool breeze, read to each other and play games. We stayed an extra night to enjoy the inn and surrounding area.”
“The grounds and lake Toxaway itself were lovely. The room was very clean. Hallways and public areas were nice but not pristine. It's a very historical place. I was served champagne when I checked in...very nice. There were little food goodies in the room with high prices on them-i would have thought for over $500 a night, snacks would be complimentary. We will moist likely go back to celebrate our birthdays again.”

The staff was superb! More than helpful, very accommodating, pleasant personalities, efficient with checking in/out, and delicious coffee was prepared in the lobby ready to go.

“Great opportunity to step back in time at this rustic 1920s lodge in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mtns. Tons of character, lots of areas to hang out and play games, peruse their library, and settle in with a book on their fabulous front porch. Quiet location, 20 minutes away from the charming towns of Sylva and Waynesville, NC. Lodging includes free breakfast, a satisfying southern buffet—waffles, cheesy grits, scrambled eggs, sausage, bacon, etc. Staff is friendly. Service is “relaxed.””
