Nice size room and great view. Easy parking. Love the luggage bench. New outlets and USB ports were great! Cons: No breakfast and no where close to get it. Even some fruit-bananas and apples- would have been appreciated. No cook when we went for dinner. No grab bars! Accident waiting to happen! Nice renovated shower, but no grab bars ruins it. And where are you supposed to put towels? They were wrapped up nice on our beds, and I found out quickly why. No where to put them! Clean or dirty! You need hooks,hooks hooks! There are plenty of places! Outside of bathroom. Above the luggage bench would also be great! Bathroom is small so I see why small vanity. But not enough room for toiletries. A small table across from toilet would be helpful. No tissues. No creamer. Staff was wonderful! Several texts to see if everything was alright. I waited for these comments because they were so nice. And room and balcony and location were so great! With just a few improvements it would be perfect!

The hotel was exactly what we wanted. We had the king size room with waterfront balcony. It was nice to sit outside and see the beautiful lake. Bugs got bad at night but that’s what you expect with being lakefront in the summer time. We eat breakfast in the restaurant on property, buffet style. It was good, staff were very friendly.

Being able to see the sunrise every morning on the lake was just wonderful. And I wanted to buy one of their beds. It was the most comfortable bed I’ve ever slept in with the comforter and the pillows, and the bed itself was just really comfortable and helped me get a good night sleep.

Showboat motel is a rip off they steal your money. Had 4 rooms same number code they gave me for the door opened 2 doors. Felt very unsafe we did not stay there and stole my monies for the room. Refused to refund my money. No one in the office at the place did not feel safe at all. Between this motel and Expedia who helped me get the room only ended up STEALING MY MONEY...

The view from the balcony of our lakefront room was lovely. Unfortunately the balcony had not been cleaned - a few pieces of trash but the a/c unit about 6” from the chairs were covered in bugs. Hard to keep it clean with the nearby water but this was there when we arrived. The room was recently renovated and was lovely. We liked the location and had a great time in the area. We ate at the restaurant the last evening and enjoyed our food.

We did not have a good experience. I reserved a room with a balcony looking over the water and instead I got a room with a window and no balcony on the ground floor. The room looked like it used to be a storage room and was converted. It had spiderwebs all over it even though they had cleaned the room. The spiderwebs look like they have been there for a while and we ended up having to kill and clean a bunch of spiderwebs all over the room not to mention we had a spider on the bed. I get you cannot control bugs, bug maybe if maintenance cleaned outside and did bug spray all over it would help control the amount of spiders around and in the room. At least the cleaning people should be doing that in and around the room. Outside the room there were spiderwebs all over the common sitting area and outside chairs. We couldn’t even enjoy sitting outside the room. I paid a good amount for a room with a balcony overlooking the water and that is not what I got which I was very upset about. I don’t know if the upper rooms had issues with spiderwebs, but the ground floor definitely did and I was not happy. We ended up checking out a day early because we did not want to sleep in that room again. I paid too much for a room I never received. I will say the staff there are very professional and nice. The property is beautiful and sits in a secluded lakeside area. It would’ve been very enjoyable if we didn’t have the deal with the spiders and of course if I would’ve gotten the room I paid for.

Arriving at the Showboat Hotel our room was not acceptably clean. The floor was sticky and covered with dirt, mini fridge had mold, and the balcony had dirt/bird droppings that was clearly not kept up with. I called the hotel desk which is not in on the weekends, after speaking with hospitality we were sent a housekeeper. The only productive thing accomplished was that our fridge was switched out for a clean one. The employee “mopped,” resulting in the same floor dirt being pushed around. We swept off the outside balcony/bird droppings and wiped the floor again ourselves. The balcony view was enjoyable, bedding and towels fresh, room was recently remodeled. It is obvious the staff is not thoroughly taking care of rooms between guests beyond the bare minimum. Management was not accessible over the weekend. When checking in ourselves, we stopped at the office to inquire. An employee (same housekeeper) showed us our room code on a list with current room codes for every guest. Extremely unprofessional from a safety perspective. The staff provided on-site was not thorough or overly professional. Overall, unimpressed with a hotel providing supposed-3 star amenities.

So disappointing for our anniversary! The room was filthy, and it smelled like mold! We absolutely froze! We had turned the heat on, but still had to utilize the hot water from the shower, and the microwave in the room to warm it up! Definitely not worth what we paid!
