We were initially given a very dark room, which was a strange shape, and a yapping dog next door; we were given a much better room when we complained. There was a problem with the wifi connection throughout our stay, and as the mobile phone signal was poor, we had to leave the hotel to get an internet connection. There was insufficient car parking on site and so we had to pay £10.80 per day at...

“Had a really great 2 night stay. Room was lovely, so comfortable. It was a great period style - but still provided for today’s needs - great wi-if, large shower, plenty of sockets. Ellen looked after us really well and couldn’t do enough for us. As for the breakfast - superb! Great choices and didn’t need lunch! ”

Our only interaction with staff personally, was at breakfast, which was delicious. We had a great conversation with one of the staff who gave us some fantastic advice and information in preparation for our visit to Edinburgh later that day.
