It is a house full of history and of an original furniture. It has charm and pleasant surroundings with a view into the lagoon. Very relaxing and great place to recharge batteries. It was a very pleasant stay.

Oceania house & the Daphne room were excellent. It felt comfortable & it was a very relaxed atmosphere cooking food or watching the sunset. A downstairs toilet is required. It appears the ballroom floor needs a re polish & repairs are needed to the glass door. An outside small shower area is necessary. Work is needed to tidy the inner garden & landscaping is a must, but I understand the lack of available labour on the island. The brick wall alongside the driveway entrance needs repairing. Excellent idea to have bikes, kayaks & maybe a boat for guest to use. We enjoyed the snorkel trip with the local on his boat. Maybe guest can pay a local to guide them if they want to walk across to the other islands. Jodie was a great hostess & kept the house clean & was very welcoming. I'd love to bring a small group of friends to Oceania house in mid October 2026. Thank you. Claudia

Historic site on Home island that has much potential but needs work to bring it up to a standard for travelling public as interior was dark, old and run down in some areas. Price per room based on one person- surcharge charged for each additional person. We (two of us) used the same bed- had not have this happen at other accommodation and would understand if additional beds used but wasn't the case. Bedding was clean and bathroom older but clean. Room was big but some improvements with lighting for reading and relaxing would be helpful. Our host, Shovel, was excellent. Met us at the airport and made our stay as easy and enjoyable as possible. Very down to earth, helpful and friendly. Has some good ideas for how the placed could run. Made sure we got to all our ferries and entertained us but wasn't intrusive. Also arranged a fantastic local meal at a reasonable price for us- thanks! This place really could do with a clear out of junk and equipment that isn't needed and a spruce up and spring clean as there is huge potential here.
