Honeymoon Island State Park, St. Petersburg - Clearwater hotel rooms at the Value Place

"My wife and I stayed for eight nights and were disappointed to learn that, in addition to the room rate and resort fee, guests are also charged $30 per night for parking in the Sheraton parking lot. When we questioned the additional fee, we were told, “All the other hotels are doing it,” which is NOT a satisfactory explanation. To make matters worse, many of the front-row parking spaces closest to the building were blocked off with cones, preventing guests from using them. When we asked the front desk staff why the spaces were unavailable, the response was simply, “I don’t know.” Unfortunately, these experiences left us feeling underappreciated as returning guests. This was our fourth stay at the Sheraton in Sand Key, but based on this experience, it will likely be our last."
