"Was I nervous to stay here after reading the reviews? Absolutely. It ended up being just fine. Beach: Lots of complaints about having to pay for chairs/cabana on the beach. Yes, they do charge for them, but just walk past them and you can snag a great spot closer to the water just like everybody else. Personally, I liked being closer to the ocean versus pushed back near the resort. Parking: If flying in, pass on renting a car and paying for valet parking at the hotel. Traffic is wild and backed up around the area. The resort is located in a walkable area for entertainment, shopping, and dining. Room View: Yup, there are some not-so-lovely views of interior roofs with A/C units that only an HVAC professional could appreciate. Ask at the front desk for a view of the beach or facing the Ferris wheel on a higher floor."

"We had a wonderful stay at the DoubleTree! Debra was incredibly detail-oriented, friendly, and attentive, and George was knowledgeable, helpful, and very service-oriented. They both made a great impression on us. Everything was beautiful and clean. The property is so spacious, especially the outdoor areas, that it honestly feels more like a resort than a hotel. The rooms were large, comfortable, and very family-friendly. We especially loved having an outdoor porch with each room it was so convenient and made it easy to step outside and enjoy the surroundings. And the view was AMAZING! Although we didn’t get to see the dolphins, we still enjoyed the sunset views immensely. There was something really relaxing about being able to sit outside and take it all in. My only con would be the food. I ordered the Jamaican jerk chicken, but unfortunately it was missing the “jerk” 😅. The food could definitely use some improvement. Overall, though, we really enjoyed our stay and would absolutely consider coming back!"

"I've been to this property several times, my kids love the pool and I like the bar next to the pool, rooms are good but those sofa beds are back breakers. This time around I had to kill 3 roaches, two in the bathroom and one in the dishwasher. I'd suggest a better exterminator."
