We were disappointed in our recent stay at the Dorsett Wanchai Hotel. While the reception desk workers were okay, the boys working in the lobby were helpful, as was the cleaning lady. However, the negative experience came from the service attendant. She finally arrived after two requests, an hour later, with a dirty pillow covered in saliva marks in one hand and a separate pillowcase in the other, meaning we had to cover the pillow ourselves. The city view was another surprise that made us uncomfortable; they had never mentioned the rundown and dirty cemetery next to the hotel. Out of the four rooms we rented, only one faced the horse racing track as requested, which was particularly disappointing on the frequent rainy days in Hong Kong, making the window view even worse. The hotel restaurant only opens until 10:30 am every morning. If you miss this time, you won't find any food to eat around the hotel area. The hotel shuttle was the only convenient facility that deserves praise among the hotel's amenities.
