Great property, location, staff, upkeep, room etc. This is a pricey choice but in my opinion we got our money's worth. All rooms are good size and very updated and have balconies. Staff was attentive, water was provided daily as well as some small goodies. The beach is very small but other beaches are close. The location is spot on Waikiki, an easy walk to the main street and all its amenities, tour busses, restaurants etc.

It was absolutely worth the price. My husband and I were treated like royalty from the moment we arrived. The staff, especially housekeeping, the servers, and the team by the swimming pool, were truly extraordinary. Their warmth, professionalism, and attention to detail made our stay unforgettable. Everything was impeccably clean, which added to the overall sense of comfort and luxury. What made the experience even more exquisite was receiving a personalized birthday message from the General Manager, David Barnes. We were pleasantly surprised as we have stayed at Four Seasons, Astoria and Ritz Hotels. Great ocean front property with excellent 5 star service! Pool is oversized and has great accommodations for sun worshippers and guests who need more shade. Location is outstanding as you can walk to the luxury shops and many amazing restaurants if you want to try something different. We had several spa treatments that were also excellent along with the many drinks and light lunches by the pool. The restaurant service and food is also outstanding . I find this hotel more of a 5 star boutique hotel and very calming! We usually stay at the four seasons in Maui but my husband wanted to go to Honolulu and I wanted to be on the ocean, this hotel seemed to be the only fit for luxury and walkability that is ocean front! I would highly recommend staying here as the Four Seasons in Hawaii is much further out and the Ritz Carlton is not ocean front! Loved it

Halekulani is truly a five star property. The staff are great. The service is top-notch. The food was excellent. Also like the location on the water but away from the hustle and bustle of the main shopping district. It is a very well run property. We were very happy to have stayed there on our recent visit to Waikiki.

Almost everybody on the staff was great. I think this hotel is very overrated and not worth the price. I came from The Four Seasons in Ko Olina and expected a very different vibe. Personally, I would highly recommend staying at the Royal Hawaiian instead as it’s extremely charming and much less expensive. For me, this hotel was all looks and no substance. With that said, there was nothing wrong with it. Just wasn’t for me.

The Halekulani seems to do it all. My second visit here and they never missed a beat. Their service and attention to guests is exceptional without being disingenuous. Best in the business in my opinion
