We had a room on the 1st floor with a beautiful view of the Portage canal and the hills behind Houghton. Breakfast was better than most other hotel offerings and the woman working the buffet was very friendly. The room and bath were very clean. This hotel is a little tricky to find though and is on an alley on the water front. Once you find Navy street you will find the hotel.

The location and waterfront was nice. Didn't realize there was no elevator not something we thought to check and not an issue for our party. Beds were comfortable and rooms clean. Bathroom was dated and the breakfast offered wasn't great. Enjoyed the pool sauna and hot tub. Staff was friendly and had good reccomendations

The property was well kept and close to the canal. Pool, Spa and Sauna were great and they are equipped for handicapped access as well. The staff was helpful and professional. I will definitely be staying again.

I loved this place. We had a great view from our standard room, which was a bit roomier than most standard rooms with both a table with chairs and a desk as well as a bureau and closet. The breakfast was outstanding and constantly refilled and cleaned by a very friendly staffer. The TV was set to something light rather than news and politics. The pool, spa and sauna were clean and well maintained. This was the first hotel I've stayed at where the front desk called after we got settled to see if everything was good.

It is an older motel, on the water in Hancock Michigan. We stayed 20 some years ago and it is still being exceptionally maintained. The rooms are large compared to newer motels. Breakfast was good. The staff was excellent!
