"The hotel is in poor condition overall. I didn’t like the bathrooms, and our room was not cleaned or made during our stay. The location is decent—about a 20-minute walk from the conference venue—and there is a nearby street with some dining options. The staff were generally nice, but I experienced three very negative situations: The heater/air conditioning unit was extremely noisy, which made it difficult to sleep well during our stay. One night, the room next to ours had incredibly loud music. It seemed like they might have been using drugs. The front desk sent a staff member to knock on their door and ask them to lower the music, but they ignored her. There was no security to handle the situation, which was concerning. One day, I returned from a run around 11:10 a.m. It was very cold, and I asked for a hot coffee. They refused because service ended at 11:00 a.m., even though the employee was still there and not busy. Overall, while the staff were polite, the lack of cleanliness, poor maintenance, and inadequate handling of disturbances made the stay disappointing."

"Even tho we did the pre check in as requested by the hotel. When we arrived we stood in like for over 25 minutes just to check in. To then find out we would been put in a que to be called when our room was ready. This was well after 5PM when we came to check in and our room wasn’t ready. So we waited for our call then having to wait inline again for over 15 min to finally check in. We were so rushed we almost missed our event. Overall the room was fine. But not amazing for the price we paid. Bathroom was not cleaned properly when arrived. Bottom of the shower was slimy. Staff upon check out was not very knowledgeable and very short with us while asking question. "

"Pros: affordable, well located, has a fridge/microwave Cons: this hotel will not hold your bags. I travel pretty often and haven’t come across this before… finding a storage locker in downtown Detroit was difficult and added an unexpected headache for my backpack when I was exploring downtown. There was also a party/large gathering on the floor that was very loud at 1 am. Given the set up, I think people stay here for longer periods of time. The noise was pretty disruptive, although someone from the ground floor came up after 30 min. "

"The entire place was very clean-our room, the lobby, the restaurant /Bar, and the fitness center. The fitness center was well equiped for a hotel gym. Our bed was quite noisy- anytime you sat on it it would make a ton of noise. The location of the hotel is fantastic for events at Ford field/Comerica park. There are nightclubs surrounding the hotel so music can be heard within hotel rooms until about 2am, so if you need quiet to sleep I suggest bringing ear plugs or finding somewhere else. The parking lot is not owned by the hotel so valet parking is mandatory and $55 on top of the price of the room so take that into consideration when booking. Overall, the staff was friendly and helpful and the location was great for the event we were attending! I do think the room was a bit overpriced, but you are truly paying for the central location of it. "
