The hotel does no longer exist! We arrived at the address and there was no hotel any longer and we were very frustrated and seriously inconvenienced.

Extremly bad smell in the room.

The room was smelling very bad. The location where the hotel is, is very poor. There is a lot of rubbish on the streets. We walked around and felt unsave. We wanted to stay 6 hours cause we had a late night flight. But we left the hotel after just one hour cause we couldn't stand the smell. We asked for another room but they denied. We will never come back.

Demal Orchid worked out perfectly for us.

Our stay at Demal Orchid was very nice and convenient. We stayed here the first few nights after flying in, and also the night before flying out. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. They provided a free pickup shuttle from the airport (which is only about 10 minutes away) and confirmed this far in advance. They also offered a great rooftop Maldivian breakfast every morning (the best we had in the Maldives). The airport is on Hulhumale, and staying on this island is a good idea for the day you are flying in or the day you are flying out. We liked this island; the beach is very nice, and there are many water sport activities available. If you are debating whether to stay a few days on Male or Hulhumale, I recommend Hulhumale by far. If you want to go to Male for the day, you can take the public ferry for less than $1 each way. Keep in mind that the Maldives is a Muslim country and (1)there is no alcohol available (unless you are on a private resort island); (2)bikinis are not allowed on most public beaches (Maafushi has a bikini beach); (3)bring U.S. dollars (the bank would not take our Chinese RMB). We recommend staying at Demal Orchid on Hulhumale for convenience, value, relaxing beach, and great service.

czas relaksu i odpoczynku od świata - polecam. Jeśli chodzi o hotel - dla mnie bajka - miłą obsługa z Zaidem można było porozmawiać na różne tematy mimo bariery językowej. Obsługa jak dla mnie kapitalna - uśmiechnięte chłopaki, sprzątali pokój codziennie, robili śniadania. Osobiście bardzo zadowolony jestem z obsługi i hotelu.

great value for money

It is a really nice hotel located close to the airport. It takes you only few steps to get to the public beach. The owner Mr.Zaid is very helpful and takes care about his guests., including airport transfer.It is a great transit hotel with delicious breakfasts served at the terrace. We enjoyed it very much! The rooms are new, modern, nice and clean. We also recommend Chinese restaurant at the opposite of the hotel with good food and reasonable prices. If you come late to Male, yo better stay here on Humhumale island, instead of going to Male city which is crowded. Here, you will find quite place for a short rest.

Det var verkligen inte gratis transfer från flygplatsen och skatter och avgifter var inte heller inräknat,vilket var angett innan man bekräfta sin hotell bokning. Mitt rum hade ingen minibar. Och det var lyhört som f-n. Fick inget kvitto som man bad om över 5 gånger.. läget och rummet var bra..

Overall the hotel was great, Moosa, Robert & Boshir were all very helpful and accomodating. The breakfast was simple, tasty and hot daily. The hotel is clean, newish and well-maintained. Should sweep under the beds, otherwise very clean. A few minor things to improve correct - the mattress is not good quality, could be better. No reception on tv (not needed by me, but fyi). Visa machine apparently not working, needs to be fixed or manual option in place for people not carrying cash. Location is perfect, 15 seconds to be on the beach, restaurants nearby, nice neighbourhood.

Fantastic service!The manager followed us to the atm-machine and showed us stores in the neighburhood. It is very near the sea and busstop if you want To go To the AirPort To take a drink. There is a barbecue restaurant near by with excellent food. Not so many turists, more natives. Very nice staff and god food. If you want to go to the beach, you are recomended to have a litle bit more than bikini. It is a muslim-area. There is a holiday-service aroud the corner. They helped us to go to a resort durimg one day, to snorkel and eat lunch and free drinks. Very good! A trip on 5 minuters To the ferry To Malé. A visit in a souvenir shop. Ferry for about 45 minuters To an iland and about 5 hours there before going back. I can surly recomend this hotel!! They dont take card yet and preferes dollar, but it was okey with rufies.
