Hundred Mile Lake Tours

I was a little nervous about staying here after reading all the bad reviews for this hotel. Although it was definitely worn down, the staff was nice and helpful. There were 2 maintenance guys working on things all 4 days we were there. The bathroom door squealed the first night, but they fixed it quickly once I informed them. When we arrived there was 2 bath towels even though we'd reserved the room for 4 people, I requested more towels but they never came. I finally went back up to the main desk and they gave them right away. Yes, there seemed to be a lot of characters and possibly un-housed people in the area (maybe addiction or mental health issues), but honestly Anchorage felt a lot like Hawaii in the aspect of there's not a lot of places to go when things go sideways. Everything is a lot more expensive, and moving or driving away isn't always feasible. We ran into this issue all over Anchorage, not just at this hotel. It was uncomfortable sometimes, but I never felt unsafe.

Love this resort. Friendly and attentive staff. Great food. Beautiful scenery.

Basic Hilton with a lot of cruise traffic. I’m old, they are older!
