It property has potential. But amenities are lacking slightly ( no coffee)
The. Yard area could use some tidying . However the rooms are generally clean and the property is pleasant with potential to be great.
The restaurant is quite nice and the staff friendly. I would stay again. The spot is nice .
Willing to accommodate pets which is great. First time travelling with my dog and they gave me a main floor room for easy access to walk my dog without a request. Which was appreciated. There is a flight of stairs to reach the main level due to the lodge being built on top of a hill. For those with mobility issues and dogs and may not be ideal.
Once you got past the stench of mold in the entry way, and got into your room you found the left over week old newspaper that was missed when the room was cleaned and the broken window in the bathroom. It's an older quaint building, so a bit louder than normal, but it also hasn't seen the level of maintenance you would expect - beyond the smell of mold and broken window, 2 drywall seams were also open floor to ceiling.
On the positive side, Sam from the front desk was helpful after you explained the issues, explaining how to turn on the heat and he fixed the internet after the first night.
Overall, we will not be returning to the 3 Pines Lodge.
When you first walk in the building the dampness and musty smell hits you immediately. The front desk is not staffed and even though I called about an early check in there was no one there to meet us. The restaurant is attached, but independent from the hotel, the food there was great.
The hallway to the room was very cold and dirty. The room was not much better, but warmer. There was a missing strip in the carpet, holes in the drywall, the windows were warped and didn't lock, the bed was slanted toward the headboard so we had to sleep with our feet at the headboard as the blood was rushing to our heads. The bedding was stained. The baseboard heater was placed directly on the carpet which seems to me to be hazardous. Expedia should take this property off their list of options. They had a good photographer to take their promo photo's. It has potential, but a lot of work needs to be done.
Wonderful hotel! Cozy but roomy, and the service was the best I've ever encountered! Would highly recommend, for either summer fun or a winter retreat.
