"Toen we aankwamen hadden we de huisjes snel gevonden, het was echter onduidelijk waar we moesten inchecken. Vervolgens was ze vergeten ons beddengoed mee te geven. Het huisje is met 5 personen echt te klein. De bedbank ligt alleen de eerste twee uur prima. Het werd zo warm in het huisje dat we om 2 uur ‘s nachts allemaal wakker waren, de ramen geopend hebben en een kaartspel hebben gedaan. "A lovely place to stay when visiting Ribe. Easy walk in to town about 8 mins away. Family friendly, in fact kid enthusiastic- a large playground onsite. Car friendly with parking nearby, but for us the 12 minute walk to the train station was scenic and enjoyable.
The breakfast consisted of slices of bread, buns, cheeses, individual portioned jams and butter. Along with boxed apple juice. All good, but not very exciting."
"This is a lovely little inn and staying in such a historic building was a great experience. I loved the wonky floors, low ceilings, antique furniture and art. It's also in a great location right on the main square, although this means it can be a little noisy outside. I thought the price was good value for money too. This is not the place to stay if you have any kind of mobility problem or you really care about privacy, though. The stairs are nearly vertical, more like a ladder than a staircase, and pretty challenging to get a suitcase up. Obviously, there's no lift, as it's a medieval building. And there is just one toilet and one shower shared between all guests, with the sink out on the landing, so you do come into a lot of contact with your neighbours at Weis Stue! The walls between the rooms are also very thin, so you can hear even if people are just talking normally. I didn't get a chance to eat in the restaurant downstairs, but it looks lovely. I would definitlely stay here again when I'm in Ribe."
"Very charming hotel. Only issue was no elevator. Tough to bring my suitcase up the narrow stairs. Other than that, well appointed and decorated. Good customer service and great location. "
"Characteristic old hotel in the very old town of Ribe. It felt like we went back in time. The shared bathroom for 3 rooms worked fine. Loved the slanted floors. Owner is friendly and fun. The breakfast was good and filling. We loved the whole experience.
