It is a 1000 year old building, the host treated us wonderfully and we had a great chat in the bar. Much different than all the corporate owned hotels we stayed earlier in the week. There is a thermo springs a few blocks away.

Friendly, comfortable and affordable

Cosy, warm friendly family hotel. Exentric interior and great breakfast buffet. Monfortinho is great outside the winter i guess, in december its pretty much deserted, but wandering in nature here is great, and its nice and quit. This hotel i would recommend to anyone in any season.

Bovista

Var resa på väg neråt i Portugal. Och ville åka efter spanska gränsen. Fin liten ort även om gps levde sitt eget liv. Mycket trevligt att få ett glas portvin när man kommer och checkar in. Lite bristande på engelska men med gemensamma ansträngningar så löste det sig. Parkering precis utanför hotellet och hiss finns. Helt ok rum. Fick köra på full värme då det var kyligt ute.0 grader på natten. Liten bar men det mesta fanns. Vi provade lokal likör och det var helt ok. Till middag fanns en rätt. Friterad kalkon med ris pommes och grönsaker. Tog en flaska lokalt vin tilloc så blev det dessert och en Irish coffee till. Kostnaden blev 71euro för två. Var definitivt lågsäsong så man får vara glad att få i sig något. Finns restauranger runtom. Men vi var lite slitna. Finns fint poolområde men lite för kallt i december. Finns en by i närheten som ska vara byggd i grottor. Men vi lyckades inte hitta den. Funkar på resa och säkert bättre när det är varmare.

Estadia relaxante

A estadia correu muito bem. O acolhimento é excelente, as pessoas são muito prestáveis, atentas e simpáticas, é só perguntar e combinar a melhor forma. O hotel é antigo mas ainda confortável. O pequeno almoço é bom e fazem refeições variadas para almoço e jantar.

Una estancia muy tranquila

La relación calidad precio es muy buena. El hotel es antiguo, por lo que las habitaciones podían ser mejorables, pero en general está muy bien decorado y es acogedor y muy tranquilo. Cenamos comida típica portuguesa por muy buen precio y el desayuno es muy variado. El conserje es muy amable y habla español. No busques otra cosa de las estrellas que tiene, pero sin duda para repetir

Sitio en el que nos hemos alojado en varias ocasiones, ya que sus instalaciones están bastante bien, cuenta además con piscina de verano. Su personal es muy amable y atento, te encuentras como si estuvieras en familia. Totalmente recomendable.

Muy agradable y acogedor

Nos gustó mucho la piscina y el bar de la piscina. Muy buena la comida, las copas, el jardín con tumbonas, árboles y sombrillas. Las habitaciones muy limpias. Es antiguo y tiene su encanto. El servicio excelente. Muy amables y siempre atentos.

O espectável para um hotel de 2 estrelas, limpeza diária, alguns equipamentos não estavam em muito bom estado mas funcionavam. O pessoal era muito simpático mas nem todos estavam esclarecidos em relação a vários procedimentos internos do hotel, mas fomos sempre muito bem tratados.

Superó mis expectativas.

Reservé este hotel por casualidad ya que me quedaba de camino en la ruta. El personal super majo y atento, sobretodo el chico que se ocupa de la mayoría de las cosas. El hotel tiene unas habitaciones sencillas, nada modernas, pero son amplias y tranquilas. La piscina está abierta 24horas. Decidimos cenar en el mismo hotel y fue todo un acierto, no fué nada caro... Se puede aparcar fuera del hotel de manera gratuita.

A quiet place

The staffs were friendly, good food. has a lift. but the location is good for people who wanted to go for hot spring bath. a quiet place with few shops and restaurants. No hot water has to shower in cold water. booked twin beds but given double bed.

Cuando llegamos nos dijeron que habían tenido un problema con nuestra habitación y que no tenían otra. Nos llevaron a otro hotel de inferior calidad. Tuvimos que volver para el desayuno. Nos cobraron el mismo precio, después de todos los inconvenientes, la habitación de peor categoría, y de no haber avisado con anterioridad del problema. No lo recomendaría.

I loved this place — Super quaint, nice restaurant, neat bar, ultra comfortable bed (best night of sleep in all of Portugal), spacious room, luxurious towels, friendly staff, awesome continental breakfast, hot shower with great water pressure. Why isn’t this place a 3-star? It’s outstanding!
