"Amazing room, especially for the price, even as a solo traveller. Would definitely recommend (and have done to friends and family already). Great location, can see the deer from the window. "The staff were very friendly, the location was perfect and very quiet at night. The only minor complaint would be the curtains are not entirely blackout, but that’s probably a good thing as it gets you up early in the morning when the crowds in the park are minimal. The A/C in our unit seemed to struggle to keep up making the upstairs bunk beds a little warmer, something to consider if you are traveling in Japans hot summers."

For us, the highlight was the front desk staff, which made several calls for us to work out an unexpected difficulty (we don't speak Japanese). They were absolutely fantastic. We can't thank them enough."

"We enjoyed our stay at this hotel! One major perk for us (traveling by car) was the garage parking and the ability to park the car earlier than check in and keep it a little later after check out, that was so helpful to us! We also loved the included breakfast (something for everyone) and felt like we had what we needed in our room, though we did find the shared twin bed to be extra small for two people to share, even by the expected Japan standards. Overall, the convenience of the location (proximity to train stations/tranquil neighborhood/familymart within 2min walk/on-site parking) made this a win for us and a place we’d come back to again on a visit to Kyoto!"
