"We liked how clean and fresh this property was. We found it very comfortable. Milk, teabags, coffee, wheaten bread, butter, cheese, oil and spices were all provided, as well as fresh flowers. There was an abundance of local animals to enjoy watching: horses, cows, sheep and housemartins. The pool table in the sun room was a welcome addition. All the bedrooms were spacious with excellent quality bedding. The downstairs master suite was particularly attractive. We would love to return! "

"A very disappointing stay. The location is wonderful on the hill overlooking the coast and harbour but that's the only positive. The large, old hotel has definitely seen better days. It has an obvious neglected, under maintained look and feeling. I'd taken the trouble to pay extra and book a room with a sea view, but we ended up in a small attic room with a tiny corner window through which the harbour could just about be seen. Breakfast was still not available at 0745, 15 minutes after the advertised start time, which on this occasion meant I had to leave for a difficult day without any breakfast. Altogether a very poorly run disappointing hotel experience."
