It was perfect for the 3 of us at the end of our trip. Itโs pretty close to Acadia National Park without all the regular drama of the crowd in Bar Harbor.โ
โHad a great time at Acadia Under Canvas- it was our first stay with Under Canvas and really enjoyed it. Great food options- little pricey but yummy! Staff was very friendly and informative. Will do it again!โ
โQuality was about as expected for this price. We didnโt need anything special since we were spending long days in Acadia. The place was clean and had daily house keeping. Very out dated and some broken ceiling tiles, but clean. AC worked great. The room fit our need perfectly and didnโt break the bankโ
โI stayed a total of four nights. The place was very clean and quiet (my room was towards the back), though the motel was full. I did not rent a car, there were two shuttle pick-up spots within walking distance. In the evening, shuttle drivers would drop me off right by the property when I gave them advanced notice. Very conveniently located. Helen (the owner) is very nice and shared interesting story and useful trip information of the area. I enjoyed my stay there. โ
โI loved staying at this hotel!! Room was spacious, clean, and had plenty of coffee with a coffee machine. Complimentary breakfast of good quality was served in a nice and clean restaurant. The staff at the front desk was kind and helpful. If I have chances to go back to the Bar Harbor area, I'd definitely choose this hotel again. Highly recommendable. โ
โWe enjoyed our stay at Barncastle! Really changed our views of Bed and Breakfasts. Didn't realize that a place could be both quaint and gorgeous *and* have modernized amenities and be comfortable! We would love to come stay again. Lizzie was so kind and welcoming. We had a wonderful stay!โ
