“We were stuck on the third floor. There is no elevator so we had to lug our luggage up three floors. The shower was a flimsy curtain inside an old clawfoot tub. The curtain was not large enough to allow freedom to shower, and even dangerous as it’s design could easily lead to a fall. “I think the staff would do anything possible to accommodate guest requests, even if it was out of the ordinary. Also the location made it surprisingly easy to view local attractions in Sitka, especially the Raptor Center which was awesome!”

“The hotel has a beautiful view, and the funicular is a fun addition. Unfortunately, those were about the only positives of our stay.
Our room smelled terrible the entire time we were there. Even worse, shortly after checking in, I went to use the bathroom and discovered that the toilet had not been cleaned at all—there was urine all over the toilet seat. This is completely unacceptable for a hotel room.
