Very helpful staff. Beautifully maintained property. Very comfortable bed. Delicious restaurant downstairs. Convenient location. Easy onsite parking. Would definitely stay here again.

The room was good-looking and very comfortable. The bathroom was the nicest of all the hotels we stayed in that week, and included heated floors. Service was excellent. The grounds of the hotel are lovely - they have black Highland cattle and deer and of course the beautiful golf course, which we walked out to for the views. My only suggestion is to make the rooms a bit brighter - there isn't enough lighting, and given my room's location (we were in the lodge, which is all first floor), I...

We’ve been to Scotland three times, and this is the most wonderful place we’ve ever stayed! We were in Heaven. When Americans think of the Higjlands, this is what we envision.

The attention to detail is evident throughout the property. The staff service is exceptional, as was the food. The grounds are beautiful. One of my best hotel experiences Only negative was that the wine list contains wines from our Fake 45!

Guest house with common areas on the first floor- comfortable living room, clean dining room and spacious kitchen. Our host was available both breakfasts to make coffee, ensure adequate food was available and did the dishes! Fun conversationalist as well. The upstairs had the bedrooms- small but comfortable with great shower.

A guest house, not a hotel room, was what I wanted. My room with private bath was clean, and the window opened for fresh air. TV in the room worked well. The breakfast buffet is always available. It's on 2 bus routes for easy access to Aberdeen city center. On arrival, make sure your phone is charged and you know how to do international calls on it.

My favorite hotel in Scotland. Consistent excellent standards in hospitality, comfort, and food. Only negative is the decor in most of the public areas is starting to look tired.

We have been coming back to Saplinbrea for a number of years. The staff and the food are excellent. The whole hotel has great ambiance, and provides a wonderful experience. Only negative is that carpeting in corridors is a little tired.

The hotel was very clean. All staff members that we were in contact were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast was great with lots of options (eggs (scrambled and boiled), bacon, sausage, fruit, yogurt (with toppings), cheeses, pastries, juice, and coffee. We enjoy staying here and will stay here again when we return. The location is great as well.

We chose this property for its proximity to the Highland Games we were attending. The property looked nice on the website, and we saw that it had a restaurant, but everything about it exceeded our expectations! The room was beautiful (our compliments to the decorator) and we loved the Victorian high tank toilet. As a solo traveler, This is a fabulous place to stay. Great food, comfy bed, friendly staff. Can’t say enough good things about this place. Only downfall is there is no elevator and I was on 3rd flr. Was a great work out though. Prepped me for all the stairs at the castles I visited. Oh and they were extremely busy with the locals hanging out in the bar or coming to have dinner.
