Great location for shopping and public transport. Hotel was clean. The lift is outdated and didn't look safe to use so we used the stairs instead. The room was very very small, if you are claustrophobic or slightly overweight this hotel is not for you. reception staff could use a smile. overall I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless you are desperate.

The employees for breakfast and the restaurant were excellent. The cleaning people were excellent. The reception desk people were terrible: One gave me the smaller room even though I chose the better one when I booked and then wouldn’t change it because he said there wasn’t anything available. One tried to sell me a Bosporus cruise in a pushy manner that we weren’t sure about and then made my key not work when I didn’t pre-pay him for it. The third wouldn’t let me cancel the said cruise (we had a friend that gets very sea sick) that I never wanted to book in the first place because he said it was difficult. He even tried to say he will change the reservation to 3 (like we were going to leave our friend behind). I told him I can call the company directly and then he said no, they have to call them. From their behavior, I can only assume they get a kick back payment from it. The hotel location and the hotel itself is a great little place. It makes great use of the space they have and the quality is decent. A couple problems we did have is the bathroom smelled very harshly of mildew. I think it was behind the walls because the cleaning lady seemed very good. Also the bath drain was too slow and it would overflow unless I turned the water down. Unless this place changes the reception desk style, I wouldn’t stay here again. I’ll find something else close-by when I come back.

Room were dirty. When complained they moved us to another room. That room had broken floor. Third night they moved us to third room. Also we booked deluxe room and they gave us economy saying that’s the best room they have. I will never stay at that hotel again.

**My Disappointing Stay at The Nest Hotel, Istanbul** I recently stayed at The Nest Hotel in Istanbul for four nights and wanted to share my frustrating experience. I booked through Expedia using the "pay at property" option, expecting to settle the bill at check-in. However, the hotel charged my credit card at 8 AM before I even arrived. When I inquired about it, the staff informed me they don’t offer that option, even though my booking confirmation clearly stated it. One staff member, Mehrnoush, was particularly rude, dismissing my concerns and insisting I had made a mistake. Despite showing my confirmation, she refused to acknowledge the issue. To make matters worse, the hotel charged me CAD 10 more than my confirmed amount—CAD 502 instead of CAD 492—with no explanation provided. Additionally, they ran out of basic amenities like toothbrushes, which were never provided during my entire stay. Lastly, the room didn’t match the photos online, with noticeably lower quality. Overall, my stay was disappointing due to the unprofessional staff, unexpected charges, and misleading advertising. I would not recommend this hotel if you're looking for a hassle-free experience.
