"We stayed at Flisvos Hotel as a convenient stop before an early ferry to another island. For a one- or two-night transit stay, it met our expectations. The owner was friendly, and the room was clean. The bed was comfortable, the A/C worked great, and the blackout curtains made for a good night's sleep. Amenities included a refrigerator, hot water kettle, free parking, safe, desk, nice TV, complimentary coffee the first morning, and a pleasant balcony. As frequent top-tier Expedia travelers, we often receive room upgrades. We were disappointed when the receptionist told us that because there were only two of us, we wouldn't be upgraded to a larger room, despite availability. Traveling with two large suitcases, two carry-ons, and two backpacks, the extra space would have been appreciated. The biggest drawback was the bathroom. The shower was very small, only partially enclosed, and had a handheld shower wand at waist height with no wall mount, leaving the floor very wet. Breakfast was an issue - no protein - no restocked. Guests arriving later missed out on eggs, cheese, and meats, and the fruit was past its best. The location is outstanding—just steps from the ferry port, beach, restaurants, cafés, markets, pharmacy, and shops. Everything is easily walkable, making the location a 10/10. Overall, this is a clean, comfortable hotel for short stays or ferry connections, but we'd choose another property for a longer vacation."

"Amazing stay and amenities. Very accessible to the beach, actually privately accessible with our own umbrellas and sun beds. Walking distance to shops and restaurants. The beaches were amazing. Also, if you want to see other attractions, get a rental. I had a great massage. I recommend booking it in advance because sometimes it can get a little full. The only thing negative was the breakfast not having eggs to order. That would’ve been nice"

"Ver clean, lovely host, wonderful views, closer to Kouremenos Bch than Palaicastro was, in the middle of everything we wanted to see and do. Breakfast was good; wifi was having issues while we were there, but a bit of tolerance for the roads and the wifi of eastern Crete is a must."

"Stella and Andoni have a place in our heart! We can’t imagine coming back to Crete and not staying here. Rooms were OCD level spotless and clean, its metres from the beach, in a quiet town only a short drive from the bigger town. "

"The Artemis hotel is a truly special place - recently and beautifully renovated, nestled in lush gardens and right on the seashore - you can go from bedroom to beach in just 20 steps or less. Its tranquil setting with a private beach at the end of the bay from Makry Gialos, makes it feel secluded whilst still being a short walk from the harbour with its tavernas and cafes. The room we were in had a lovely view over the gardens and beach, and a balcony to enjoy the sunset from. Staff were all wonderful and we were received with warm and generous hospitality from the moment we arrived. They were especially helpful in assisting us with the Heraklion transfer. The Kima restaurant is also a lovely spot for a delicious meal while getting amazing views of the sunset across the bay. Try the Octopus! Thank you to all the Artemis staff for such an enjoyable holiday - we would love to come back."

"Facilities are new, located in a quiet area, great option if you want a quiet vacation away. The bed very was comfy, the outside pool and private pool in the room ate both great! The staff were very nice and helpful and always smiling. The food menu in the restaurant was overall very good. "
