Property is tired. Pillows and bedding need replacing. Beds were comfortable but should be upgraded, at least with the newer mattress encasing covers that are readily available. Workmanship like caulking and painting are poor. Parking lot has some serious pot holes.
Pool and spa were closed. Restaurant was not open for breakfast.
Staff were friendly and helpful.

Disliked: Amenities
Pool closed. Coffee machine in lobby off when we left at 6:30 am. No one at front desk. Room: clean, bed comfortable, but bedding needs blanket, spread upgrade/replace. Had to unplug fridge middle of night-very loud.

Dingy. Dingy. Dingy. Basically no amenities. Small fitness room that stunk. Actually, the entire facility smelled musty. There is a coffee machine in the lobby with dispensers of powdered creamer and granulated sugar, small Styrofoam cups with no lids. The Coffee machine was empty the first three days we were there. When I told the front desk clerk, she said oh, I’m sorry. But didn’t fill it. We commented on it again the next day to the front desk. She was kind enough to go over and shake the dispenser. . However, there was only enough for one cup and it was disgusting. in room coffee consists of a 4 cup automatic drip and you get one small filter of regular coffee and one small decaf, coffee, a creamer and sugar. None of that was replenished after day one..
There’s a restaurant/lounge in the lobby. But doesn’t open until 4 o’clock and it’s closed on Sundays.
The train goes by at least once a night.
The beds were pretty comfortable. I will give it that.
Listen, it was a place to sleep. It was mostly clean, had a nice fridge and working plumbing. Check in took a good amount of time as the lady didn't know how to work the credit card machine. Bedding is from the 80's. They only have front desk help short hours daily and no stayover cleanings. The bathroom show curtain smelled terribly of mold/mildew. The pool was green and half full. Something out of their control according to the sign at the front desk. Would not stay here again unless forced to

Can’t make chicken salad out of chicken…
First of all I want to express my appreciation for the entire staff they were excellent. It’s hard to make chicken salad out of chicken $h!t. It’s obvious the owner has decided not to fix anything. Holes in ceilings, pool and hot tub out of order for months, exercise equipment broken, ice machine out of order, out dated furnishings.Thank goodness for the squared away “granny” at the desk getting a night comped. I grew up 3 blocks from the Gladstone and know what a gem it once was. A shout out to my classmate Darby making the restaurant run like a fine tuned machine. Whoever the owner is BE BETTER!!
Our room was very dark. We had difficulty reading even with all the lamps on and the curtains opened.
Disappointed that coffee was not available everyday as advertised.
The frist room had nko heat the second room was scary no windows a patio door that was a dark black room where the pool was supposed to be. Reminded us of a scary movie that you should never go to.
Pool closed for maintenance. When traveling with kids, the pool is almost the major deciding factor when picking a hotel. This should be communicated when booking.
