"Basically the hotel restaurant was not open. We checked in and the owner disappeared. We felt like we were the only ones in the hotel. It was a. Dry strange experience. We had a mini bar in our room, but basically it was a trip into nearest town 7k away to get provisions. When we checked out in the morning, we were asked for payment . I explained and showed evidence that we had pre paid. Hotel clearly not used to bookings from Expedia. It was a little uncomfortable for all to say the least."

I could see a code on it, I guess to access the hotel, but it did not work. I called for help, and the phone was answered and was manager was helpful. I was able to get into the building. "Room was great, very clean but a strange layout. A bit of a maze to get from our room to the reception area. Had a high ceiling, almost looked like a refurbished hospital, but nicely maintained. Excellent location, close walk to town centre and Christmas markets. Parking was convenient and free."
