Room was clean. Bathroom adequately stocked.
I used the online pre-check in. Don't like it! Prefer the connection and communication with front desk personnel. It was interesting to note that despite the digital check in, the guest informant keys were kept in an old fashioned "alphabetical card" system.
As a solo woman traveler, it would have been great to have received recommendations, on request, of where to eat that is good and safe. I had to ask about the options on the same frontage area of the property being good recommendations.
The breakfast buffet was standard and sufficient. Small bags to carry out a bagel for the road would be appreciated.
While sufficiently equipped, in the bathroom in particular, I was a little amazed that there were so many plugged in holes from equipment that had been removed or changed out. While it may seem overly critical, the lack of careful grouting and paint finishes of the many areas, does not make this a great property.
Understanding that ongoing repairs need to be made and circumstances often mean that these need quick undertaking to ensure rooms are available for the next incoming guest. Management check ins during walk throughs would be important in these instances.
This could be a great property with a few touches. It's easy to access off the highway and could be one of the higher rated properties in Kearney.
