โKendwa Sunset is very well located by a beautiful beach. Hotel is well kept and with a cosy feel. Green garden feel in first part of the hotel and beach vibe at the bungalows located as an extended part of the beach.
Room was good with nice beds, clean and with nice size bathroom.
Beach area is large with more space between chairs than many other hotels. Pool had great clear view over the beach and ocean. All this would give a 9-10 rating.
However service was clearly the worst we experienced...

โWe had a very nice stay at Ellavita Cottages. The room was cozy and Tina and Khalifa are very nice hosts. They are always there when you have a problem and can help you with everything. They also know the place well so any question concerning activites can be answered. The breakfast is also delicious.
Would definitely recommend and come back if we would go to Nungwi again.

โThe hotel is not glamorous and amenity wise it is what you would expect of a midrange hotel. However it has a perfect location right on the beach and easy access to local tours and attractions. It is very clean and well maintained.
The hotel staff were so wonderful and accommodating. They made such a good effort to make a personal connection with me and as a woman traveling by myself they made me feel so safe.

โFriendly staff, clean rooms, pool with good upkeep and generally tidy grounds. Can't really complain about anything major. Even if it's not exactly 5-star accommodation they are making a good effort to cater to the needs of westerners. The restaurant has plenty of ambience and again the staff is friendly but the service is slow (this is endemic in Zanzibar though) and the breakfast selection is quite basic.

โWe honeymoonโed at My Blue Hotel for 6 days and loved it! The hotel property is beautiful and clean. We chose the half board option, and really enjoyed the breakfast provided by the hotel. There are also several nearby restaurants for lunch and dinner that are walking distance.
Furthermore, the staff were lovely. We had a smooth check in and check out experience and the cleaning staff left cute designs with towels and flowers on our bed for our honeymoon.

โWe made a reservation for the Suite but just few days before, the hotel informed us that the Suite was not available due to mistake from the hotel side. First we were given standard room, but fortunately we were moved to sea view room. Their standard room is very small, so if you plan to stay in Langi Langi, I recommend you to book at least sea view room. Foods were nice and beach was bery enjoyable.โ

We was supposed to stay at Kendwa, but because of a bank fraud (!) we left the original plan, and booked through hotels.com at this place. We are very glad how everything turned out. This location at Nungwi is good. At Kendwa we would be stuck at our resort. Here we had more flexibility on what to do all the time.
