"The room was nice and clean and the hotel has many very nice updates. The staff was wonderful and we enjoyed the breakfast. Planned to stay 5 nights over the 4th of July Holiday but the primary problem we encountered was that Hotels.com has it listed in the WRONG LOCATION; we expected to be "on the island" in Minocqua so that downtown was walkable, but it's about a mile north, behind Popeyes. Still a great Northwoods location if you don't need to be right downtown. We were able to modify the reservation and only stay one night. Hotels.com and the hotel staff made that easy, which I was appreciative of. Luckily, we were able to book a last-minute reservation at a hotel on the island. We had a heavy cooler which was difficult to manage up the stairs without an elevator, but the hotel staff was very nice and even offered to help me. There was some work going on, probably in preparation to make every room available for the Holiday weekend and the contractor repeatedly left the door propped open, which made the upstairs really warm. The room itself was very nice and cool, though. I'm sure had we stayed the whole time, the hotel staff would have addressed it and/or the work would have concluded. Nice modern updates and I'd stay there again if the location was suitable for our needs. Ample space in the parking lots for a boat/trailer."
"Finally fixed the wifi which helps a lot! We love staying there even though its a ways from Minocqua. One drawback is the BR fan won't operate unless light is o n."
"Hotel is in a very convenient location to restaurants and downtown. Hotel was clean, but dated. However, the hotel does not have elevator service to all levels and is built into a hill. We had to carry all of our luggage, and breakfast every morning, up and down 4 flights of stairs. Breakfast is complimentary but must be taken back to your room. If you have difficulty with stairs this is not a good choice, unless hotel will guarantee you are on first or second floor on building 1 or 2."
"The room was very clean and big enough. Great people!!
Although the restroom sliding door had some problems, upon the conversation with the front desk, they got the maintenance guy to fix that immediately.
Overall I would good, no complains"
"The hotel is a little older - but extremely well maintained. Very clean. It is in a fantastic location. Our room had a view of the lake - and everything in the town was in walking distance.
The pool is fantastic! Again, so clean! I can’t emphasize enough how well kept the entire hotel is.
The lady at the front desk was such a hard worker! We were there for July 4th, and she looked so patriotic with her flag bandana. You could tell that she was very invested in her guests and the welfare of the hotel in general. Loved our stay!!"
"Clean, quiet, comfortable bed, perfect location across from Torpy park. Recently renovated, a solid motel experience with a nice seating area behind overlooking a Lilly pad filled lake"
