The Kiwi Motel
8/10 Good
"Only thing I did not like was that we could not light are own fire in the pit. It was a chilly night and staff was gone by 8:30pm. So could not enjoy that amenity. It should be available and either option of roasting marshmallows"
"Shower was leaking on floor. Notified staff & they said they would contact a professional to fix problem.
Hair dryer support was falling off wall. Needs to be repaired."
"Arrived around 11am so we could pay for 24 hour parking. We were told parking was 25-30. It was $35. But still cheaper to park there and walk down to the beach.
Everything worked great, fridge was a bit beaten up and the sink was broken.
They added cream, milk and utensils in the room which was nice.
Neighbours were loud and annoying. *this is above crabby joes and we only heard cheering from the patio* which was fine but our neighbours were a group of kids.
Staff were friendly."
"Overall the resort is nice, especially the grounds and the beach access which are both beautiful. It is also conveniently located. As noted with many reviews the actual rooms themselves are old and somewhat dated. They do serve their purpose and the beds are comfortable are the cleanliness can definitely be improved. The indoor pool is a nice feature (and i was looking forward to having the kids swim int it) but it could be better cleaned and better maintained. I, personally, didn't feel comfortable swimming in it. Also i noted that some buildings have rooms with vinyl flooring and others are still carpeted, so if this is an important aspect for you (for allergies etc) be specific with this when you book. So overall i'm happy to recommend it and likely would stay again but just wanted to provide a realistic picture."
