โWe loved this meticulously restored to its 1800s splendor--think Haussmann Parisian high ceilings and large French windows--with exquisite Egyptian antiques yet all modern conveniences (en suite bathrooms, air conditioning etc). Atmosphere is completed by being met each morning by elderly woman maitre d' in flawless French. High on 5th floor down a pedestrianized side street, no Cairo traffic noise to disturb you.

โI'm thoroughly impressed with this property's prime location! Despite the language barrier, I had no trouble directing local taxis.
The nearby bus stations made traveling to other parts of the country a breeze. Plus, having the Bank of Egypt right across the road was super convenient for withdrawing cash or exchanging currency.

The rooms arenโt cleaned at all before your check in!!! The tiles and carpets had dust and dirt everywhere! Never vacuumed! The beddings were dirty and had hairs everywhere on top. The towels were stained and had cigarette butt burn holes. The pillows & mattress were bouncy and unstable, I kept feeling Iโd fall off the bed! And on top of all this, the neighborhood had some sort...
