Khotyn Fortress is situated on the banks of the Dniester River in Ukraine. This current fort was constructed in 1325 with later constructions and additions dating to the 1380โ€™s and the 1460โ€™s. It has been used extensively as a film location during the Soviet period and also in independent Ukraine due to its excellent state of repair.

Khotyn Fortress is one of my favorite places in Western Ukraine! Construction on the current Khotyn fortress was started in 1325, while major improvements were made in the 1380s and in the 1460s. It's also near the Kamianets-Podilskyi Castle, often regarded as the best castle in Ukraine (and my personal favorite). You can easily visit both in a day. Both make a great day trip from Chernivtsi, which is my favorite city in Ukraine (and not far from the Romanian border either).

Good location right in the center of town
I stayed one night at this hotel, and the location is great, right in the center of town within walking distance to everything. Parking was easy and free. Breakfast was adequate, nothing amazing, just average. Room was clean and comfortable and quiet for the night.
